Administrator privileges are always required for the initial download.  With the desktop client, you don't have to use deployment to download and install the FPS custom repository, it is just offered for your convenience.

The current version of the Financial Portrait smartclient, 10.7, with repository sync option, is all packaged up for your convenience in 4.0, release 36n.

The last version of the web clients is 8.0, release h.  However, this flavor of the smartclient is deprecated, and works only with smartclient 8.0, IE and IBM i 7.1.  Let us know if you still need this!  Otherwise, it's a goner.
